Take a look at our new addition to the K9 Family!
Comfort is a 10 year old Shih Tzu and she is deaf…..such an adorable little dog and loves to go walking in Redditch with her Walker Sue, she runs out to the car and jumps in, so eager to go!
Comfort’s parents are both out at work and just love her to bits, she goes out with Sue on walks 4 days a week and has bonded really well, her deafness has not hindered her at all she is very clever if she is getting tired she goes behind you and taps the back of your leg to pick her up!! Brilliant, who says dogs are not clever?
REALLY HOT DAY!!
Delilah the Greyhound and lovely Fudge out for a walk on the most beautiful day in a long time…..very hot so they are walking around Redditch and Alvechurch parks in the shade! Lots of water bottles in the van to quench their thirst and the van is cool with the air vent so they can settle down on the lovely soft quilts in the back of the van just for their comfort.
Fudge was the first doggie we took on back in 2009, he is almost human he does not pull on the lead and knows not to go too far away, he seems to know exactly what you want of him. He is getting old now and showing his age around his face with his fur turning grey in areas just like we do!!
Delilah is on lead as wonderful as it is to see them run they do not always come back so safer on lead, sorry Delilah, but you do have a long lead so can explore. They love their walks and are always waiting at the door tails wagging happily ready to jump in the van.
Take car in this heat we are going to have over the next few days and remember, never leave your doggie in your car for any period of time they wear fur coats and the only way to get rid of the heat is to pant……just imagine how hot they feel in the sun let alone in a car as the glass magnifies the sun and the heat is intense, they can die within minutes when it is hot.
I usually go for a walk around Henley In Arden but my usual walker is off on holidays so Shaun took me up to Redditch, it was great I met so many different friends and really enjoyed the change. I am quite laid back actually so it means I get on well with everyone. I loved the different smells and bushes and trees it was such a pleasure to go somewhere new it brightened up my day!
Just take a look at Biscuit the Beagle, the word is adorable! Shaun stepped in to walk Biscuit as her usual walker is off on holiday, it is the main weeks for holiday ‘get a’ways’ now but she can’t miss out on her walks and as per normal Beagle habits she sniffs everything in her path and beyond! Shaun took her walking all around the fields and up to the Church in Studley avoiding the cows freely grazing in the fields, they have calves at this time of the year and must be avoided at all costs. Biscuit during her walk and hitting the zzzz’s after!! Bliss………..
FUN IN THE SUN!
Jasper, Darcy and Alfie are have a fab time running free across the fields in the Lickey Hills and Bromsgrove, Rachel takes them there nearly every day so they can meet up with their chums and have lots of ponds and mucky puddles to jump in, keeps them cool on these beautiful hot sunny days!
Spaniels just love the water and they have to be treated to a complete hose down and lots of towel drying when they get home but they don’t look too bothered about that do they?
These three are very special doggies they have wonderful temperaments and are a pleasure to walk, their parents are extremely proud of them.
Paddy is a new addition to the K9 family and he is such a sweet doggie, he is 9 years old and a lively Springer Spaniel who loves to walk around Sanders Park in Bromsgrove and the Lickey Hills he adores puddles and water and can’t wait to jump in and get all wet and smelly!!
Paddy is very obedient and comes when called and walks beautifully on the harness, he prefers the harness as he just pulls when on the collar and lead. Lavinia his K9 walker will be taking him for great walks and he will have playmates to run around with too, he just can’t wait…….
