Annie the Wild Rover
She must have read my van or how else would she know I was a dog walker, I looked in my wing mirror as I got in to my van, and saw a happy little staffie bouncing over the road to me to say hello, everything looked fine but something was missing, then I clocked it, no lead and definitely no owner, I looked up and down the street and nothing, this one was out on her own for a little spot of sight seeing!
So I checked her tag and she was called Annie and there was a phone number, after phoning a few times and no answer, I decided she will have to come out with me for the day till I can contact her owners later that night, she seemed friendly and I’m sure the other dogs wouldn’t mind, she looked like she had a lot of energy to keep up as well, but she was saved by the bell when her owner phoned back and was surprised to find she had gone walkies. She had locked both her doggies in the house, she only lived up the road a few houses, so Annie hadn’t gone that far but having work men in the house they had left the door open and that’s not a good move when you have an escape artist in the house! Im sure she had a few things to say to them when she got home,
So if you are having any work done around the house make sure you get your workmen to close the doors behind them and if possible check on the dog every so often.
Happy Christmas, and Happy Shopping,
